FGA per 100 Possessions: The reason for the “per 100 possessions” is to level the playing field. Teams play at different tempos depending on their style so standardizing statistics on a “per 100 possessions” basis provides a consistent base on which to judge stats.

Effective Field Goal % (eFG%): Not all field goals are created equal, i.e. the 3-point shot. eFG places a greater value on 3-point field goals by a factor of .5 to get a more true shooting percentage.
