Over the last five seasons, 2019-2024 (2020 championship cancelled), Salisbury makes out as the top team, making the tournament all five years, to the World Series three times, winning the 2021 National Championship and runner up in 2022.

The top seven teams include the national champions from all five years. Johns Hopkins and Birmingham-Southern (School now closed) come in ahead of other winners but have not won a championship themselves and always been close.

The point system to determine the teams is:

5 pts – National Championship, 4 pts – Championship app., 3 pts – World Series app., 2 pts – Super Regional app., 1 pt – NCAA Tournament app.
